Sanjay Rajpal

Chief Executive Officer


Sanjay has successfully led and managed multiple contracts at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) over the past 10 years. He has supported VHA through multiple mid to large-scale transformational and organizational change initiatives, including agency efforts to address GAO High Risk List issues. 


Sanjay’s areas of expertise are in strategic planning; internal audit; performance improvement; program, portfolio, and project management; organizational change and risk management; requirements development and management; IT solutions and assessments; and business process re-engineering (BPR).  Sanjay is a is a certified project management professional and holds a green belt in Lean Six Sigma (LSS).


Over the past 10 years, Sanjay has managed a number of programs for VA designed to improve the delivery of healthcare and services to Veterans. He has led teams that have delivered tailored health solutions spanning: Veteran scheduling and wait times, community care, beneficiary travel, eligibility and enrollment, care coordination,

care delivery, ancillary services, patient-aligned care teams, remote Veteran apnea management, clinical pharmacy services, laboratory services, pain management, provider credentialing and privileging, emergency department, patient flow, surgery, and other clinical, IT and business functions. 

Additionally, Sanjay leads a team in establishing a Program Management Office (PMO) to oversee and manage VA Healthcare GAO High Risk List areas of concern that address policy development, oversight and accountability, resource allocation, training, and IT.

Sanjay earned a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BA degree from the University of Virginia.  Throughout his career he has committed to the advancement of diversity in the workplace. 


In 2011, Sanjay established the DC Regional extension of a national non-profit organization dedicated to the professional development of pan-Asian professionals and leaders.  He was involved in all aspects of recruitment of leaders, members, advisers, and key stakeholders throughout the Washington, DC region, including establishing partnerships with the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other government agencies, organizations, and universities.
