About the Role
Consensus Solutions, LLC is looking for an IT Audit Specialist to support a federal government client’s IT audit program and audit cycle processes.
Responsibilities:
Perform various support tasks in preparation for upcoming audits to ensure successful outcomes for all identified audit targets.
Manage and coordinate the evidence gathering effort for audits.
Provide on-time and accurate Audit Findings Reports and Trend Analysis.
Provide post audit support and remediation effort reporting.
Identify and capture audit cycle lessons learned and provide ad-hoc vulnerability scanning reports.
Support the formulation and implementation of action plans.
Conduct audit trend analysis.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of total experience in IT risk and compliance, IT governance, IT auditing or an IT/cybersecurity related field. (Minimum 10 years of total experience for senior position)
Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field.
General knowledge of internal control concepts, principles, risk analysis, FISMA, PCI Compliance, FMFIA, FISCAM, ITSI, process improvement and techniques, including frameworks such as NIST.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to variety of audiences.
Strong attention to detail.
Self-starter able to work independently and within a team.
Flexibility and the ability to react to rapidly changing requirements.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Proficient in MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and SharePoint/Power App.
Preference for candidates to be local to the Washington DC Metropolitan area with the ability to commute locally for meetings, as needed (post-pandemic).
Ability to pass a government clearance.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of compliance practices and IT audit operations.
Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems, application development, change management, operations, networking and telecommunications, databases, business continuity, disaster recovery, and physical and logical security.
Excellent analytical skills to understand organizational objectives, evaluate risks and controls and accurately document and support work performed and conclusions reached.
Strong communication skills – with the ability to manage, facilitate, and lead meetings with senior executives and subject matter experts
Strong attention to detail with the ability to review own work and the work of others for accuracy
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
Experience in task management; organizing, directing, and coordinating the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned tasks
Ability to provide exceptional client service, research and resolve issues, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment with all levels of client and Consensus Solutions staff
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certifications.
Federal experience. VA experience strongly preferred.
