About the Role

Consensus Solutions, LLC is looking for a Data Analyst - IT Audits to support a federal government client’s IT audit program and audit cycle processes.


  • Conduct and report on trend analysis of audit findings throughout the audit cycle.

  • Leverage data collected throughout the audit cycle (findings, responses, FISMA metrics, lessons learned, material weakness, etc.) to identify trends.

  • Draft scheduled and ad-hoc Audit Trend Reports to include data view and graphical view of the data, displayed in PowerBI Dashboard(s).

  • Analyze data gathered from all -supported audits to generate meaningful/actionable information, including but not limited to predictive analysis, correlation of findings, performance metrics, audit trends/emerging trends.

  • Normalize data to provide meaningful visualization of data.

  • Support the identification of relationships between various databases and linkage through data tables/relational DB.

  • Use SharePoint Online Development; Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and AI Builder; relational database creation and administration; business and data analysis methodologies to optimize business process and system workflow to help improve Business Processes.


Education and Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field.

  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (such as Power BI, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, and others)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to variety of audiences.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Self-starter able to work independently and within a team.

  • Flexibility and the ability to react to rapidly changing requirements.

  • Proficient in MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and SharePoint/Power Apps.

  • Preference for candidates to be local to the Washington DC Metropolitan area with the ability to commute locally for meetings, as needed (post-pandemic).

  • Ability to pass a government clearance.

Required Skills:

  • Fluency in developing queries, report writing and presenting findings.

  • Ability to showcase data in context with stunning interactive data visualizations in applications, websites, portals, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Strong communication skills – with the ability to manage, facilitate, and lead meetings with senior executives and subject matter experts

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review own work and the work of others for accuracy

  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills

  • Experience in task management; organizing, directing, and coordinating the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned tasks

  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, research and resolve issues, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment with all levels of client and Consensus Solutions staff

Preferred Additional Qualifications (not required):

  • General knowledge of internal control concepts, principles, risk analysis, FISMA, PCI Compliance, FMFIA, FISCAM, ITSI, process improvement and techniques, including frameworks such as NIST.

  • Working knowledge of compliance practices and IT audit operations.

  • Working knowledge of operating systems, application development, change management, operations, networking and telecommunications, databases, business continuity, disaster recovery, and physical and logical security.

  • Federal experience. VA experience strongly preferred.
