About the Role

  • Performs tasks requiring management of mid to large-scale projects encompassing multiple tasks.
  • Tasks may include formulating and defining scope and objectives in accordance with the customer requirements; compiling and analyzing data; advising client management and customers on complex projects and activities; providing instruction on and performing and documenting quality assurance reviews.
  • Working closely with customers to guide strategy development and conduct long-term planning.
  • Work directly with the contract Program Manager to plan, execute, and report on assessments.
  • Develop and implement Program Management Office (PMO) capabilities, including establishing strong project management approaches to scope, schedule, budget/cost, quality, risk, performance, and resource management.
  • Lead, perform and quality assure the development of reports based on robust analysis and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Communicate effectively in written and oral formats to various situations and audiences.
  • Facilitate small to large working sessions with senior executives and SMEs.
  • Interface directly with clients regarding project status, issues and risks, and key findings.
  • Lead a team of consultants and subcontractor resources to execute work.
  • Consolidate and analyze data to identify key trends, findings, strengths, and opportunities for performance improvements.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years consulting experience with a professional services firm
  • At least 3 years experience leading and managing consulting engagements in a Project Manager role
  • Demonstration of strong technical and executive level writing skills
  • Ability to pass a government clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to manage, facilitate, and lead meetings with senior executives and subject matter experts
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review own work and the work of others for accuracy
  • Ability to support or lead business development management and capture activities
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
  • Experience in task management; organizing, directing, and coordinating the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned tasks
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, research and resolve issues, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment with all levels of client and Consensus Solutions staff

Desired Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP®), Lean Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated technical capabilities and professional knowledge of federal acquisitions

  • Assist Project Managers to interface directly with clients regarding project status, issues and risks, and key findings.
  • Assist in the administration of program and project activities, such as meeting coordination, accurate documentation of minutes and action items, developing and updating documents as required, and drafting and organizing communications.
  • Communicate effectively in written and oral formats to various situations and audiences.
  • Assist team members in data gathering activities, support identification of required data sources, assist in the creation of executive level reports and dashboards, and support Project Managers in project governance activities.
  • Consolidate and analyze data to identify key trends, findings, strengths, and opportunities for performance improvements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 4 years of experience, preferably with a professional services firm supporting consulting engagements in a Senior Consultant/Analyst role.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting the federal government, preferably with a professional services firm supporting consulting engagements in a Senior Consultant/Analyst role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Demonstration of strong technical and executive level writing skills.
  • Demonstration of strong data analytics and visualization skills.
  • Preference for candidates to be local to the Washington DC Metropolitan area with the ability to commute locally for meetings, as needed (post-pandemic).
  • Ability to pass a VA clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
